The part I find hard to understand is how GDP could think this was a good buisness move.

No band had the devotion from and goodwill with their fans that the GD had. I have to think that some of that is now gone.
I for one can't say I am more likely to buy an official release now after the way this was handled.Conversely I WAS planing on buying a few Dick Pimps as xmas gifts but now that's HIGHLY unlikely.

It seems as though someone not recognizing the bands unique bond with its fans tried to apply some straight world buisness model that perhaps wont work.

I for one am glad and grateful to IA for all I did download in the past year and trust I'll be
able to trade or bittorrent for the rest of what I desire.
I will miss the reviews and forum posts here as folks drift away in the coming weeks.
